Hello, I've been trying to follow the tutorial on making chrome effects in Freehand MX, on www.vecpix.com/tutorials/freehand/fh006.php and I can't get it to work at all. I understand all the concepts, but the problem is that once I've cloned split the 2 letter R's and get to point (6) and start trying to join and close corresponding points there are always other random points on the letter R joining themselves to each other.
If I've understood properly the tutorial suggests that if adjacent paths are joining to each other, you should be able this with the bezigon tool, but when I've tried to use this to rectify the problem, I've just ended up adding extra lines and paths all over the place which don't get rid of the unwanted ones or close any paths at all.
I really like the effect and I have no problem with all the pasting the gradient fills into the shapes, but I just can't get past this stage. If I haven't made myself clear then let me kow and I'll try to explain in more detail what I'm having problems with!
Thanks, Richard |
